DIASPORA STUDIES INITIATIVE @ FIU
Vision
To develop an innovative, interdisciplinary curriculum that teaches students strong area skills over a broad range of topics within Tamil and Tamilar Diaspora Studies.
Mission
Develop a self-sustaining holistic program at FIU that will produce scholarly research, teach generations of students (through certificates and degree programs), and organize public events related to the diversity of Tamil language, history, arts, culture, traditions, and contemporary issues.
How are We Different?
